Mikaila is a senior at Fisher College pursuing a degree in English with a minor in diversity studies. She is a current member of the Fisher College Honors Program, as well as a member of the Alpha Omega Rho chapter of the Sigma Tau Delta Honors Society. Mikaila has been a peer tutor on campus for three years, assisting students in subjects including English literature, statistics, Economics, and research skills. In addition, she is the president of her college drama club and an editor of the Charles Viewer student publication. She has extensive experience working with children in a variety of capacities. She has worked with children from ages 6 months to 19 years in environments such as the outdoors, the classroom, and real-world settings. Most recently, she spent the summer working with young individuals with developmental disabilities. Mikaila intends to combine her writing and research experience with her desire to educate and inspire children of all skill levels and backgrounds.
