Kayla Luga is a sophomore at Wellesley College studying International Relations with a concentration in History and a minor in French. She is originally from Bergenfield, New Jersey. At Wellesley, she is involved in Wellesley Kapatid (Filipino Students Association), Wellesley Organ Club, and WZLY (Wellesley College Radio). In addition to international relations, she loves to study education and linguistics, as well as exploring the intersections of these different fields. One of her passion areas is combating educational inequality and she has co-authored a paper that has been published in The Educational Forum. While most of her background revolves around experiencing diversity in the United States, she hopes to study abroad in the future for exposure to different cultures and new experiences. Kayla is excited to connect with the local community and engage young people in critical discussions of global issues as an Education Intern for the UNAGB.
