Maxwell Goodman, a freshman at Northeastern University from Los Angeles, California, is majoring in History and International Affairs with a minor in Russian Language. Throughout high school and his early years, Max primarily focused on being a concert violinist. However, in his senior year, his growing interest in history led him to create and complete an independent study: a comparative analysis of the rise and reign of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
During his first semester at Northeastern, Max became an active member of the International Relations Council and was chosen as a model NATO delegate. He has worked diligently to improve his Russian language skills and will be attending Middlebury’s Russian Language Immersion program this summer to further enhance his proficiency—aligning with his career aspirations of becoming a foreign service officer.
Maxwell is excited to join the UNAGB Education Department Internship Program, where he hopes to give back to the community by sharing his passion for history and foreign affairs, inspiring others to engage with global issues from a young age.
