Ivy Gomes is a junior at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Business Analytics with a minor in Political Science. Originally from Queens, New York, Ivy is a first-generation Bengali-American passionate about the intersection of social impact, business strategy, and global advocacy.
Ivy’s dedication to international relations and human rights stems from her work with organizations like Girl Up, where she served as the North Atlantic Coalition Leader and Advocacy Director, spearheading initiatives focused on gender equality and youth empowerment. She has also worked with the CERES Institute for Children & Youth as a Policy & Data Research Assistant, researching educational justice and systemic inequities. Her passion for diplomacy and policy has further driven her interest in global governance, equity, and cross-cultural collaboration.
As a strong advocate for immigrant communities, Ivy co-founded iLearn-US, a platform providing accessible educational resources for first-generation individuals navigating systemic barriers. She has also gained experience in digital strategy and consulting, working with companies like Commonpoint Queens and Boston University’s Guerrilla Marketing Society.
Ivy is excited to contribute to UNAGB’s mission of engaging young people in global affairs. She hopes to use her skills in research, marketing, and policy analysis to support international education initiatives and inspire future leaders. In the future, Ivy aspires to work in diplomacy, leveraging business strategies to drive social change on a global scale.
