Avery Anderson’s career has spanned sectors and continents, united by a common thread: her ability to connect with people in service of something greater. With a passion for cultivating cultural exchange and shared education, she is dedicated to strengthening communities and promoting global well-being.
As Senior Manager of Development, Avery creates opportunities for people to engage with and support UNAGB’s mission and realize their values through generosity. She curates high quality donor and client experiences, and forges partnerships that advance global citizenship through education. Avery engages communities, corporations, and individuals on the meaningful work of UNAGB. Whether organizing inspiring events or building connections, Avery ensures that every interaction reflects UNAGB’s values and invites others to get involved!
Avery is led by a commitment to ensure that people are at the center of programs. In Avery’s rich multi-disciplinary background in international aid, development, and sales, she constantly seeks to inspire and incorporate opportunities that educate and empower people. Her breadth of experience ranges from work with non-profit organizations in India, serving as Agroforestry Peace Corps Volunteer in Cameroon, to most recently, beer sales with Fiddlehead Brewing Company in Vermont – not to mention that she is also an aspiring artist! Avery holds a Master’s Degree in International Humanitarian Action from the University of Uppsala, Sweden, with a specialization in Humanitarian Protection.
She loves to meet new people and explore. She has insatiable global curiosity, a love for adventure, and a great interest in experiencing different cultures. You may find her wandering Boston’s streets, tasting different cuisines, or enjoying the sunshine with her dog!
