The Consuls Ball is Boston's premier international gala of the year, honoring the Consular Corps of Boston - the local and regional representatives of nearly 60 countries who serve their citizens locally and facilitate business, trade, travel and education - while supporting our Model UN program, which offers critical skills-based global education to thousands of urban Boston youth!

The 10th Annual Consuls Ball is an evening of elegance, entertainment and dancing. The evening will include cultural elements, food, decoration and entertainment, inspired by Korea, this year's focus country. The international ambiance is enhanced by guests in black tie/traditional dress, dancing to music with a global touch, and a silent and live auction with getaways to near and far destinations.

The Members of the Consular Corps in Boston are the local and regional representatives of close to 60 countries -- all UN member states -- who serve the citizens of their nations, and work to facilitate exchanges for business, education, and pleasure as well as to foster technological transfer, economic development, and international understanding. In honoring the Consular Corps, we celebrate Boston's highly international community and recognize the rich diversity of the many cultures of the United Nations as well as its commitment to achieving international peace and security mainly through diplomacy. The Global Education Program in Boston area schools engages middle and high school students in an interactive educational experience that brings Model United Nations into the classroom through a series of class sessions that teach negotiation, communication, research and conflict resolution skills, and engenders tolerance and cooperative spirit. Model UN not only promotes global citizenship, but also teaches critical skills for school and life, helping to reduce the achievement gap.
