2019 Summer Institute in Global Leadership: Advanced Public Speaking
This advanced institute brings together older students who are passionate about global issues and aspire to be in leadership roles that demand advanced communication skills.
This week, students will work together to develop public speaking skills through the format of Model UN crisis simulations. There will be a particular focus on presentation tips and tricks and extemporaneous speaking. Join us for a fun and fast-paced week!
Note: This week is only open to students entering grades 9 -12. Prior Model UN experience is required for this program.
You Can Expect to:
– Meet other students who are passionate about global affairs and are aspiring leaders in their school communities
– Learn from guest speakers, including NGO leaders, to diplomats, to local politicians
– Develop negotiation skills and apply them to current real-world topics
