Join us on Thursday, October 24 to celebrate United Nations Day
United Nations Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force of the UN Charter in 1945. It is celebrated around the world, recognizing the importance of the global body dedicated to peace, prosperity, and justice.
Since 2000, United Nations Association of Greater Boston (UNAGB) has organized a UN Day Luncheon to celebrate the UN’s accomplishments and indispensable work by engaging high-level policy makers, members of the business community, and academic leaders around a critical global issue.
In 2019, our keynote speaker will be Rachel Kyte, Dean of The Fletcher School at Tufts University and Special Representative of the UN Secretary General on Sustainable Energy For All. Dean Kyte will provide her insight and commentary on SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, and will ask the question:
“How can we improve technology and remove barriers to ensure that all people have access to clean, affordable energy?”
Date: Thursday, October 24
Time: Sponsor’s VIP Reception 11:00 AM-12:00 PM; Luncheon 12:00-2:00 PM
