Join us for a special evening with the United Nations Association of Greater Boston’s Board of Directors, staff, the UNAGB President’s Report by Dr. Arese Carrington, and a keynote address by special guest, Dr. Adil Najam, the inaugural Dean of the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University.

Guest Speaker, Dr. Adil Najam
“Global Challenges in a World of Climate Change”
Dr. Adil Najam is the inaugural Dean of Boston University’s Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies. An award-winning professor and author, Dr. Najam has served on the UN Committee on Development (CDP) and co-authored the Third and Fourth Assessments of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007. Additionally, Dr. Najam was a member of the President of Pakistan’s Special Task Force on Human Development, served on the Presidential Commission for Higher Education in Pakistan, and was awarded the Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Star of Excellence) – one of the highest civil awards given by the President of Pakistan.

What: The evening will include hors d’oeuvres, UNAGB’s President’s Report presented by Dr. Arese Carrington, guest speaker Dr. Adil Najam, and of course – information on how to get more involved with UNAGB in the coming year

Cost: This is a free event, though RSVP is strongly encouraged. Donations are welcome and help UNAGB reach more students in the Greater Boston area through Model UN programming.
