Samantha Day is originally from Scottsdale, Arizona and is a rising junior at Boston University. She is studying international relations with a business, international economics, and politics concentration and a regional focus on Europe. She is also working on adding a minor in Chinese, for which she is will be studying at Fudan University in Shanghai in the fall. Last summer, Samantha studied philosophy and art history at Boston University’s London campus. Samantha has always had a passion for learning about other cultures and languages and aims to be trilingual before graduation. Outside the classroom Samantha is an active member of her school’s student government association and has served as a College Senator for the last two years. She also is a mentor for We Thrive, a national nonprofit which pair college-age-mentors with high school and middle school students of underprivileged communities. Through these diverse and impactful experiences Samantha has developed a love for learning about how she can help improve the global community. Through this internship she hopes to learn more about international organizations and nonprofit work.
