Nina is from Connecticut and is a recent graduate of Boston University. She received her bachelor’s in Russian Language and Literature with a minor in International Relations. She has participated in two exchange programs in Saint Petersburg, and during the Fall semester of 2019 she studied abroad in Moscow. These experiences increased her cultural awareness and language proficiency. The previous four summers she worked with the program STARTALK, which is funded by the National Security Agency to support professional development programs and the learning of critical languages. She is passionate about human rights and furthering people’s understanding of different actors in the international community. She aspires to work for the Human Rights Watch in the future.
