Lydia Rascher

Lydia grew up in the Boston area and is now a third-year at Northeastern University, where she majors in International Affairs and Sociology. Lydia is a member of the United Nations Association chapter at Northeastern, has been a research assistant for two international affairs professors at the university, and volunteers as a writer for the non-governmental organization of Release Peace, where she delves into topics ranging from immigration to environmental policies to historical conflicts. She will be going to Barcelona in 2023 to take classes that will support her research about public opinion on the Spanish nation-state. Lydia has a deep passion for research, especially pertaining to international law and global institutions. She hopes to take her interest in these fields to law school after she achieves her bachelor’s degree.
