Katie Clare
Educational Programming Co-op

Katie is a rising junior at Northeastern University pursuing a combined major in Human Services and International Affairs. She is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. In high school Katie devoted herself to addressing both local and global issues she is passionate about by participating in student government, community service, and six international service trips. She spent her first semester of college studying abroad in London which fostered her enthusiasm for travel and international affairs. At Northeastern, Katie has most enjoyed her International Conflict and Negotiations class in which she researched in depth the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Syria and possible solutions to end the violence. Katie is passionate about education, sustainable development, and human rights issues abroad. In the future she is hoping to work for an international nonprofit organization addressing one of these issues. She is eager to expand her knowledge about the UN’s sustainable development goals and join the team at UNAGB in sharing the exciting work of the UN with the community of Greater Boston as the Educational Programming Co-op this summer and fall.
