Jake is a 5th year student at Northeastern University where they are pursuing a B.A. in Political Science and International Affairs. Jake’s past work has focused on how societies rebuild after experiencing genocide, war crimes, and other crimes against humanity, an interest spurred by their time studying in the former Yugoslavia. Prior to joining UNAGB, Jake worked for the National Commission for the Fight Against Genocide (CNLG) in Kigali, Rwanda, where they contributed to research on reconciliation processes in Rwanda, such as the Gacaca courts, and for the Center for Applied Non-Violent Actions and Strategies (CANVAS) in Belgrade, Serbia, where they conducted research on global activist movements and non-violent conflict resolution techniques.
