A rising senior at Boston University, Bruna is double majoring in Economics and International Relations. Although she is originally from Brazil, Bruna has lived in four countries and has a passion for foreign affairs. In high school, she participated in Model United Nations programs and attended the Global Young Leaders Conference in Washington D.C. At the conference, Bruna visited the United Nations and was interviewed by to the Portuguese UN radio program. At Boston University, Bruna has pursued her interest in education by becoming both a peer mentor for the school’s First Year program, and an International peer mentor for incoming freshmen. She also enjoys promoting dialogue about important global issues and especially Latin America through her position as president of the Brazilian Association at Boston University. Bruna was lucky enough to work abroad in London at AFFORD, a non-profit organization aimed at promoting the development of the African Diaspora of the UK. That experience, combined with education positions on campus, have led to a summer internship at UNAGB – where she hopes to further explore her interest in International Relations, as well as gain experience in the education field.
