Amy Leon is from Boonton, New Jersey, and is a first-year International Affairs and International Business student in Northeastern University’s Honors Program. She also hopes to pursue a minor in either Spanish or Data Science in hopes of further expanding her interdisciplinary education. Amy dedicated a lot of her time in high school to community service, specifically working with homeless shelters and providing tutoring resources to children who don’t speak English. Coming to Boston and becoming a member of an extremely diverse city, it was very important that she continue giving to those around her. She has spent time with Northeastern’s organization Peace Through Play, where college students go to schools in local neighborhoods and foster fun learning environments to empower young children in and out of the classroom. Being very passionate about working with the communities around her, as well as taking a great interest in international affairs, Amy is excited to join the UNAGB community and contribute to the education of our future world leaders through programs like Model UN.
