Alma G. Morrison has been a member of the Board of UNAGB for many years, serving in various capacities, including as Clerk and Chair of the Advocacy Committee. Alma is a former Chair of the Steering Committee of the UNA-USA Council of Chapters and Divisions and served 10 years as Representative from its New England Region. She served for 9 years on the Board of South Shore Housing, a non-profit organization that provides affordable housing and related services.
For fourteen years she was a Board Member of Common Cause Massachusetts, an advocacy organization working for campaign finance reform and ethics in government. Before her retirement, she worked for Common Cause Massachusetts as Assistant Director; for the Massachusetts Public Interest Research Group (MassPIRG), in the finance department; and for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. She has served on a variety of town committees in Scituate, where she lives, and was elected to two terms on the School Committee.
She holds an MBA in Public Management from Boston University, and a BA in History from Oberlin College. In her leisure time she enjoys sailing, gardening and the outdoors in general.
