UNA-GB is on the cutting edge of Model UN instruction; we know the challenges faced by teachers and how to leverage the power of this pedagogical tool to ENGAGE students in the classroom. Model UN isn’t just for the select few. We are using the power of experiential learning and technology to grow our Model UN program across entire school districts.
BRIDGING THE GAP with MODEL UN
In an educational climate that has overlooked social studies because it is not a testing subject, The United Nations Association of Greater Boston is filling a critical gap in our educational system by expanding access to a life changing skill set to teachers and students. When the program began, very few urban schools in the Boston area had a Model UN program and today there are over 30 public and charter schools partnering with us. We provide:
- Classroom-friendly curricular materials that align with Common Core standards
- Professional development workshops to help teachers incorporate the Model UN program into the fabric of their classroom
- Classroom site visits for Model UN training
We believe that Model UN belongs in every classroom. Contact Jennifer Despo, Education Coordinator today at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to bring our in-class Model UN program to your district.
